So what is this blog all aboot!?

Well, in the spring of 2009, the company I work for was closing it’s doors and I was given two options. Option one, join the rest of the people in the unemployment line trying to fight for jobs in an already very competitive IT job market of web development in Vancouver… or… migrate the project I was working on and move to Stockholm, Sweden for a short 3 month contract.

Well, the choice was simple, summer in Stockholm! Living in Europe, relaxing, enjoying long warm summer days, beer and beautiful women. I arrived here in the start of June and have been here since! One contract extension and now am coming on as staff come January 2010.

Well, now that I’m here for a while, I figured it would be fun to blog about my experiences. Moving halfway across the world, leaving everything you have behind other than what can be stuffed into a backpack (60L) and look towards a crazy new world. New traditions, new language and new experiences.

So far, I’ve got no regrets. Each day is a new one. Gotta keep on move forward, living and enjoying the moment! Carpe Diem.
